Product Description

Polyoxymethylene Dimethyl Ethers(Dioxydimethyl Ether Acetate), PDM is a slow-drying solution with clean taste, environmental protection and low toxicity, mild smell solvent, it can be used for clean paint or matching diluent.The composition of PDM is very stable and it has better dissolution,relatively speaking, the solubility of PDM is higher than PMA, CAC/BCS/DAA, equal to DBE, weaker than cyclohexanone. So it can replace PMA,CAC, BCS and DBE, etc.

PDM belongs to weak polar oxygen-containing solvent, which is good with other solvents and resin materials. Good mixed usability, the steric hindrance between molecules is low, and it has a unique high escape system. So as to provide ultra-high stability for the film forming stage of the paint film, which is conducive to the overflow of gas out, especially in the late stage of film formation, volatilization is fast enough to form continuous and stable coating performance, including conducive to self-leveling of wet film, improve product glossiness and prevent foaming.

PDM is suitable for PU, PE polyester, polyester polyol, thermoplastic acrylic acid, thermosetting acrylic acid and other systems.

Because the product itself is neutral, it does not contain ammonia and free acid and other components, the water content is extremely low ≤0.05. So it also suitable for special thermal curing+UV curing system, for single UV curing, and the system will have certain oxygen inhibition characteristics.
